1999 Firbird Power Windows

Anybody know how to change a power window motor on a 1999 Firebird 3.8...Or know where I can go to get directions / or diagrams?

its something we like to call a search.... you search...... type in your question to yahoo or google and an answer may be proviced... this might take more than 5 minutes but it will be more satisfaction in the long run.

is it the motor that fails in our cars? or is it the regulator?
im guessing its just the motor?

meatyshells, mine died probably from getting water in there.
But they are notorious for going out in f-bodys
Voltage is decent

The install is pretty easy. The first time you have to drill through the door it's scarey, but it's no big deal. I can replace one in the advanced auto parking lot in about 15-20 minutes now depending on how stubburn the door panel wants to be.

That's the page I used for my drivers door window motor. I'll be using it again for the passenger door soon since that motor is on it's last leg. Very helpful pics.

I did my driver's side like 3 years ago then did the passenger's side last year. When I opened up the passenger's side I found out it had already been done atleast once. Now, I'm going to have to do another driver's side because when my car got hit last summer they replace the door and now that motor is dying. Oh the pleasures of owning an f-body.

i just replaced mine in my 01 firebird about 2-3 weeks ago.. what i did was take the 3 bolts around the front driver's speaker and take that out to get full grip of the window motor after i took the panel and plastic cover off. that way u can unhook the power window wiring. and just unscrew the bolts and put it back in there pretty quickly. took me 25 mins top and that was my first time ever changing a window motor in any car.
