Sub wiring...yeah..

I read that whole thing on wiring the subs bridged and DVC and all that crap, but i'm a visual learner, and all the pictures were dead links. So if someone could draw out or a find a pic of how to wire a dual-2 ohm sub to a bridged connection on an amp, please post up..

That's a pretty cool thing!

Only problem, I can't seem to find how to wire it with a bridged connection. I get how to wire a DVC sub with a mono setup, but for bridged I'm not finding anything as to how to wire that.. :(

So do you have a 2ch amp that your going to run one DVC sub? in briged mode?

Yes.. basically. It's a 4-channel amp, but two channels will be bridged running the single DVC sub, the other two will run my rear speakers.

I just used the red and black for + and -. That is just the two channels for the sub..

I THINK that means your running 2 ohm series with your sub diagram there.... someone correct me if im wrong....

It should work fine, good plan with the 4ch that should be nice. I'd get a cap if I were you because your going to be using lots of power with a single 4ch running your sub and a pair of speakers too.

yep. 2 ohm in series=4 ohms total load..that's what i'm going for.

what is a cap? (sorry i'm a newbie to the car stereo scene)

a "cap" is a capacitor. Basically, it stores a + charge, and then releases it when a hit is needed (a hard bass kick). If your lights are dimming drastically with the beat of your tunes, or you notice weaknesses in other parts of your car's electrical systems due to crankin' tunes, you may need a cap.

ahh, a capacitor. Well i know what that is, I just never heard if be called a "cap" ..

I doubt i will be getting electrical problems. The amp is only rated at 350 total rms power so i think i'll be okay.
