IP Dimmer

Hey guys, I just got my camaro back on the road from Winter Parking.

I tried to drive my car last night, and my guages werent lighting up. So I start thinking fuses.

I change the obvious one out (Not blown BTW) "Guages" and it didnt do anything. I proceeded to check all of them. IP Dimmer fuse was blown, so I replaced it, I went to put my key in the ignition - fine. I turn it over - the fuse blows.

I would imagine this would be a short somewhere - Anyone have any ideas where to start looking, or a wiring diagram?

(Or any information at all about what this fuse does?)

do u hav and aftermarket cd player? i had the same prob. man and i couldnt figure it out, i had a remote wire loose and i reconected it, and the lights came on, but i couldnt dim the lights or nethn...

It was a part of my stereo, it was something to do with my wires running to my amps.

Im not sure if it was the power, remote, or ground wires, but I have some smaller guage wire here, so I think I am going to change that out, and hope for the best (Although I am thinking it has something to do with the ground, since that has always given me issues).

The fuse hasnt blown yet, but I havnt had any darkness yet to test the dimmer. Ill post back later.

So the fuse still hasnt blown, but the guages are still not lit.

The turn dial for the lights works, and when the dimmer is pushed up, the interior lights do come on. Could this still be a case of a faulty/bad Dimmer Switch? If so, I will start to look around for one at a junker for a decent price
