my 97 camaro is ULO monsoon

i replaced the door speakers.. it sounds like crap... no even close to being as loud as stock and they crackle at higher volume(they are good 250watt sonys).. the 4 wires in the doors confuised me so i just hooked up the wires that made it sound the loudest.

i wanna use an aftermaket amp the stock headunit and just run all my speakers/subs to the aftermarket amp. to make things work

how hard is it to hook an aftermarket amp to the stock headunit?

can i hook into the rear (stock) harness for all the speaker wireing so i dont have to run new??

ok i found i need OEM-1 adapter thing.. got that...

i'm getting conflicting info... do i need 1 or 2 of the OEM-1 adapters?

i dont have the monsoon in my car, but im assuming that those 4 confusing wires belong to the mid/tweeter in the front doors... maybe you hooked it up wrong and thats why it sounds like crap

^^i agree with that one. It may be that you got the correct wires too, but you may have them reversed, or possibly the positive from the tweeter and negative from the mid or something.

i read it an am still alittle confuised.... do i need 1 or 2 of the OEM-1 pac adapters?

can i use all the stock wiring and just extend it to the amp from the rear where the factory amp is?

is there a harness i can use to hook to the factory (rear) amp harness to hook to my aftermarket amp??
