  • How to install my new Elemental Designs 11Kv.2

I got a subthump stealth enclosure and a Elemental Designs 11Kv.2 on the way. My Lightning audio b2.150.2 amp is installed bridged to 150w x 1 @ 4 ohms.

My question is how do I plug the sub in? I have my pos and neg wire. But the sub has 2 sets of terminals on it.

They have a video on their site of it and it looks like a patch cable or something is used.

Is that how I should wire it?

    Thanks in advance.

You run more speaker wire to it. You wire it depending on how much resistence you want. In the diagram it's wire for 2-Ohm. Run the positive to the positive of the first set, then from the negative run a wire to the positive of the second set. Then from the 2nd negative, go back to the amp. That should give you 2-Ohms resistence, probably 250-300ish W RMS, which would be nice with that sub.

Thanks. Follow the diagram I will do then lol.

I had Circuit City install the amp for me since I was there all day for work, he took my 4 speaker wires and he doubled them up, so its 2 wires in pos and 2 in the neg coming out of the amp, he said he did that cause they normally use thicker speaker wire to help with the load.

Should I leave it that way? Also what gauge wire should I use for that bridge?

        10-12 gauge should be fine.

Just want to input. I have that sub in a stealth box and i love it.

Got the box and sub in the mail today, just tried to plug the sub in and I got no sound or movement at all. I don't know what it is. I'm just going to have the guy at circuit city do it since he wired the amp. Hopefully the amp and sub are both good and the problem is somewhere is the wiring, either his or mine.

It's in and working. Something was messed up with the power wire.

I love this set up, it hits hard as hell and sounds awesome.

Where is your amp installed? I can't decide where the best place to put mine would be.
