speaker box?

ok ive seen speaker boxes with cotton in them and im wondering how that makes a differance. would notice a differance if i did thisandwhat kind of differance would i noticed better highs or lows?

It's for when you make the box too small. It makes the sub believe it's in a bigger box, so you get some better sound out of or something. I wouldn't worry about it unless you make the box too small for your subs.

It can increase the apparent volume of the box by about 15% to 20%


So...
A 1. cubic ft box with 1.5 pounds Dacron (cotton) well work like a 1.15 ...
It well have deeper bass but a disadvantage may be lower sensitivity...:dj:
