Re: Finally fitting 5x7's in rear panels (monsoon)
as you can see it doesnt perfectly fit. if i cut off the little tabs to screw in that are in the way it should sit in good enough. i just have to worry about the cover being able to get put back on :-/.
Re: Finally fitting 5x7's in rear panels (monsoon)
what you found is the plug to connect the optional CD changer that is located in the far rear of the car.
As I see the photos I have to say you did not know what you
were doing and real ghettoed it. You should have paid a car stereo place $50 and had it put it right.
In that location far from your ears, you are likely to barely
hear them at best.
Re: Finally fitting 5x7's in rear panels (monsoon)
obviously it is going to be ghetto in there. thats why im making it so the cover can be put back on. if they are so far from your ears and they dont make a difference then it doesnt matter if i mess up, because apparently i dont need them. im sure it would cost a lot more for a installation place to customize the back and install a speaker in there.
anyway. i finished one side. here:
honestly, i dont think its that bad. it could be done better. and will probably be fixed up in the near future, but for a quick job its decent.
Not much going on, replaced my Kenwood double din stereo with a Pioneer double din, the Kenwood had problems. Then replaced my power inverter for my reverse...
