reverse bulb out

my brothers 99 camaro has the back right reverse light out, the bulb isnt the problem as that it works on the left side no problem, but not the right side. all the wires connected to it are in tact, i dont know where the problem could be. maybe there is a short somewhere? anyone know what to do? his car is long overdue since march for an inspection.

you sure the socket in there is indeed the reverse socket? what i am saying is mabye someone took the reverse bulb and by accident put it in the brake light slot and it burnt out. check all of your brake light bulbs. if not that then test to see if you get power to the socket. if yes replace the socket. if no then tap into the other side for power u might have a broken wire

agreed...my 83 needed new sockets in places cuz they wasnt working...cut some off my 87, wired them up to the 83 and they worked perfectly
