Get a decent set of components if you are amping them.

The infinities have great sound quality, but they lack in the bass department. If you truly want the sound quality plus the good bass then I would save up and get Alpine Type R speakers. They have nice crisp highs, good sounding mids, and good bass.

A nice set of CDT components should be good, or Focals if you can find them cheap enough.

They aren't mainstream (meaning you won't find them in stores), but they are good, quality speakers. Don't be afraid of buying online, I've used woofersetc.com, sonicelectronix.com, and ikesound.com plenty of times with no trouble.

That is a great price on the CDT's. You won't find a better component set for the money. If you want sound quality CDT's are hard to beat.

Polk Audio makes great speakers for Car and Home and are frankly underpriced. Focal are French made speakers and are the best that is out there.
I suggest U take the 6 X 9 out of the rear area and put them
in the sail plane area. It will require some cutting but I did it
and it worked out great for bass etc. I have Alpine

Actually CDT is on par with Focal. You should really listen to them if you like focals. They definitely have a different focus as far as highs and lows but still very good. Polk is a good speaker, on the same level as Infinity but usually a bit cheaper. I personally am from a different school of thought as far as rear speakers go, I'm of the opinion that you should only have the front speakers to attain proper sound staging but there are of course different things for different people. I'm not a fan of anything alpine anymore, I've just not been impressed with their SQ and they HU's have failed on me on several occasions in many different ways.

What amp did you have them hooked up to? I've never had that problem with them.

And yeah ED is another very good brand to take a look at. If you want take a trip over to www.elitecaraudio.com and check out what some of those guys say. They are very informative.
