window not rolling up

i have a 97 camaro rs and both windows roll up and down pretty slow then last weekend my driver's side window suddenly stopped rolling up. the window is all the way down inside the door panel. i dont hear the window motor when i push the button. what would the problem be here?

most likley the motor went out. Find them on ebay for cheap and try to install urself. save some money.

Yeah, window motor went out, it's a pretty common problem.

More than likely it's the window motor. i know when mine went out, I could roll it up about an inch or two at a time, about 2 hours apart after i shut the car off and started back up, but all of them are different, but you may want to try that to see if you can get it up until you replace the motor. Unless it's completely dead already.

This happened to me last week. same problem *** you. What me and my bro did was remove the door panel and then remove the window motor. It was like brand new so what we did is put some sticky lubricant or what i used which was wd40.I sprayed the whole thing, then I put it back in and it worked perfectly for some reason now and a whole lot faster....

Could this be the same problem I'm having? I have a 2000 Camaro and the left side window won't roll down, but the right side works just fine (this is while pressing the drivers side switches).

yea it is the window motor. I had the same problem on my passenger's side had to replace it then it happened to my driver's side right after I got my passengers side fixed which pissed me off. I would try ebay it will save you some money.

This happened to me last week....for a while the window was real slow, then finally it just stopped working

I went to a automotive store and got a window motor for 55.00. Installed it and now its better then ever.
