  • passenger window short?

Ok well I just finished tearing out the whole interior to sound proof the whole thing, but I had my passenger window down at the time, I need to put it up so I can do the inside of the door,

When I hit the button for it to go up nothing happens, no low hum or anything , is there a common place for there to be a short? any body have any suggestions at all?

    Re: passenger window short?

Check connectors first. Maybe it has become disconnected.

If not check for power at the motor and at the switchs on the door panel.

Pull the 30 amp windows metal circuit breaker (fuse) from the Instrument Panel fuse box. Meter it out to make sure it is conducting.

Before you put the fuse back in, check the power leads for conductivity to ground (shorts).

If all of that checks out fine, then suspect motor failure.
