Problems with Security System (stock)

Hey guys i have a 98 bird and she throws a security light and wont let me start her until a few minutes have passed. I use my key and unlock and lock it like normal. my positive battery terminal is slightly corroded. I used to be able to disconnect the battery and it would start but when i reconnect now it still shows the code. its inconsistent so i cant pin point anything...any suggestions are appreciated.

It's the VATS. If you have an aftermarket key, get a factory one, if you have a factory one, clean it off with the eraser of a pencil. If that doesn't work, you can either bypass the VATS or open up your ignition and find the problem and solder it.
