Re: ses light...
Possible pcm problem.. Not sure. Need more info. Will it give you a code at all or no? Does the car run ok or not?2004 CE Corvette 10.86@132mph

Could be a clogged cat. Do you have any fuel upgrades? For example, is the car running rich with a new fuel pump? Other thing it "might" be is the egr. Is it idling funny at all? Missing? When did it start happening? (Usually it's a direct result of something else you did).2004 CE Corvette 10.86@132mph

Re: ses light...
Just gut it for now and then get a high flow one. :)2004 CE Corvette 10.86@132mph

I didn't for my 96'. I kept it that way until I got a whole new system. (Headers, high flow cat, and Borla 3" catback.) There's nothing to lose on gutting the cat for the time being. Especially since you're going to need to upgrade anyway. You won't want to keep the cat gutted because it sounds like **** even though it will help the performance. So in the meantime you could purchase a high flow cat for your upgrade and do exhaust upgrades if you want.
When mine was gutted, I gained .6 to .7 in the quarter mile with the supercharger installed. When I had the entire exhaust re-done, the car did even better. Either way, a clogged cat KILLS the performance of the car. If you don't want to gut it, just have the muffler shop cut it off and put a new one on. But I'd still recommend a high flow cat no matter what.2004 CE Corvette 10.86@132mph
