    Re: Speedo dont work

    what exactly does it do?

I had a problem where my speedo would "work" but it would never go above about 35 and moved very slowly..always at least 15 slow as well.. Had to get a new cluster.

The gauge cluster more than likely went bad, if the RPM's work fine and the speedo doesnt Id say replace the cluster!

Theres also a sensor on the transmission I believe, where it gets its speed info from, check that.

Check to make sure your odometer and trip meter are reading (climbing). If so, there's a slight chance that it's a bad connection somewhere. If the odo and trip meter aren't changing, then you're proly gonna have to replace the cluster and/or the PCM.

Also, you may wanna have the car scanned for any codes. If you've got a B1000 code that's either the EBCM, the ICP (gauge cluster), the PCM, or the SDM. Chances are, it'll be the cluster. Borrow a gauge cluster from another fbody friend in the area and see if that fixes the problem. If it does, get one at a junk yard, or ebay, or on the boards.
