I recently replace my driver side headlight motor with a new one. It worked fine for a few weeks, but now the motor is not closing the one side. I have tested the motor and the gears are fine, not stripped. There is no bind when I manually close it. I was wondering if anyone has ever had a short in the wiring from the motor back to the switch that would cause it not to get power to close?

There's no pinched or stripped wires anyhere near the motor? That's what I'd tend to think seeing as they've just been disturbed during the replacement.

no visible damaged wiring at all. and seeing how it worked for the first few weeks, and no it is shot, I didn't know if there was a seperate electrical system to lower the headlight or if it was just a reverse current

Just reverse current, 2 wires going to the motors (brushed DC)

Try pressing down on it as someone turns off the lights. Mine used to do this, and that is how I could get em closed. However, it magically fixed itself one day.
