Sorry if I sound ignorant in asking this..but what exactly is the point of wiring in a manual fan switch? Is the fan not on all the time anyways or something? And why would you want it on, and why would you want it off? That is if it is not always on? I'm sorry I'm just a little confused about it.

Re: manual fan switch?
basicly the fan only comes on when the engine temp gets higher. And there are 2 speeds that the fan comes on high/low
most of the time the fans are on low.
Doing a manual fan switch you can control when the fans come on to improve your cooling.
you can have your fans on even if your engine isn't running if you want

Re: manual fan switch?
Just for extra cooling, and to use when the car is off.
For some reason when I use my manual fan switch for awhile with the car running my service engine soon light comes on and I get a code for someting about fans. After I turn them off, the code goes away after a few minutes. I wired it by running a wire from the green on the wire harness to one side of a toggle, and a wire from the other side of the toggle to a ground. Is there anything wrong with the way I did it?
