  • No Electricity...at all!

i went in my car today to start it up and there was absolutely no power... no lights, no start, no radio, nothing. i had just driven it earlier when i went to school. i just put in a new battery a couple of months ago so i was thinking maybe a fuse? i'm frustrated to say the least.

got a volt meter ? put it on the batt. sounds like either a loose cable or dead battery. try jumper cables

Yup, try tightening the connections at the battery terminals. I had a loose connection once, no power to anything.

Easiest thing to do is first check your battery voltage with a DMM (digital multi-meter)

If you have no voltage, charge / jump start the car and once running, take it to auto zone or a parts store, have them test your battery and alternator.

Check the batter... see if there is any spark when you mess with the cables. Also... I got a bad battery one day. It worked fine and then after sitting all night, the battery was completely dead.

yea you guys are right. put a multimeter to the nuts that screw into the battery and it read 5v. i took them off and read direct to the battery and it read 12v

Clean up the battery terminals good. then tighten them securly and read voltage then.
