  • Need a Diagram... anyone?

ok guys.. i thought i had one, but when i looked i couldnt find it.

I REALLY need a Fuse Panel schematic for a 97 Camaro.
I've got a short and i have to do some more wire tracing from the radio fuse.
    I appreciate any help. Thanks

nevermind, i dont need it. does anyone know anything about the RAP module and that kinda stuff?
I'm not getting power to my radio fuse in the fuse panel, and from what i've seen it is a dark blue wire that comes from the RAP module. I read a while back that it could be an RAP or ECM problem, so i kinda think it could be the RAP.
    Anyone?

    EDIT:
By the way, its a 97. After reading some stuff on LS1tech i think the RAP is more or less built into the BCM, so i would have to replace the whole BCM. crap :(

Rap is one of the functions of the BCM, so replacement may address your problem. But if the BCM is the problem, then when your radio is dead your power windows shouldn't work too. They share the same power lead from the BCM.

If your power window do work when the radio is dead, then it's not RAP. It would have to be in the fuse panel or the wiring going to the radio from the fuse panel.

If you don't want to replace your BCM, you can bypass it by providing power directly to the radio. Thats what I did by putting a fuse splitter into the radio fuse position and plugging the wire into one of the spare power pickups in the fuse panel. This provided power to both the radio and window circuits. If you do this, you will also have to replace the gauges fuse with a 20 amp fuse, due thats the circuit that the spare power pickup gets its power from. (you need that much amperage to drive the windows)

You can also get power directly from the cigarette lighter wiring just below the radio in the console.
