Foglights

hey guys i have a 94 camaro and my foglights do not work. anybody know a way i can chekc to see the problem relativly easy? thanks guys

first thing I would do is check the relay in your fuse box under the hood. Take one of the other relays and move it to the fog spot temporarily and see if your fogs light up. When i bought my car, my fogs wouldn't turn on with the switch, and the relay was the problem. I assume it's fairly common, because the one i replaced was already aftermarket. Could also be that both are burnt out.

when i flip the switch for them the lite on the switch comes on

did u check the fuses?and check the bulbs...i guess the relay should b checkd b4 anything else

Turn your parking lights on at the very least or even your headlights, then try flipping the fog light switch. I don't know how it is with everyone else, but with mine, either the parking lights or headlights have to be on for the fog lights to switch on. btw, mine's a 93.

he is saying the light on the switch comes on, that light only comes on if the foglights "think" they are on

yea i meant wheni turn lights on the foglight stiwtch lgiht will turn on... which relay is the fog light one??? all the fuses are ok but wasnt sure which relay was foglights

look on the lid of the fuse box, it will have a diagram

It's easy to miss, it's on the side of the inside of the box cover. I went ahead and snapped a few shots for you.. Not the best quality but it's dark and i didn't want to be out in the cold for longer than i had to :P


^^ pretty obvious i've replaced it as it's a different color than the rest.

On a Firebird, the indicator ONLY comes on if the relay closes. Get a wiring diagram for your year car.

When my relay was out, the fog light indicator could still be turned on with the foglight switch.

my car doesnt even have that in it that relay i mean. lol i guess im gonna run to autozone and see how much they are

they are pretty cheap. just a couple bucks.
