DEI Valet 561R door lock/unlock

So a year or two ago my brother got me a remote start. The DEI Valet 561R to be specific. The jerk asses who installed it never programmed it or installed the door lock/unlock feature. I don't know how one of these things works seeing as I've not researched it other than with google which wasn't very conclusive. Just wondering if anyone knew the process of installing the door lock/unlock feature to work with the car start remote. The button is there.. It makes the head lights flash as if it was working. But that's the only thing it does. I would take it back to them and say, hey what gives but it was like a year ago and I lost the reciept. Friggin Circuit City.

Why didn't you go back originally and have it fixed?

You will need a wiring diagram of the brains of the system, and you'll need to wire it to your power locks.

I knew someone was gonna ask me why I didn't before.. Because I wasn't worried about it before. Or else I woulda :slap: Hey alright, I'll fidget around with it.. find out which wire does what and see if I can splice it into my door locks. I was looking for more of a specific answer if anyone had any personal knowledge of the system but it's ok. I suppose I will manage.

lmao yeah, like which color wire should go where. Yeah the guys that installed it took the damn manual when they did it. I just wasn't into mods and doing my own repairs when they installed it so I pretty much screwed myself out of an installation lesson.

there will be a blue and green wire off the brain, your are going to need a dei 451m because your system is a five wire system. I know that probably means nothing to you, but basically there is a bcm in the pass kick. in that modual are your lock and unlock wires (I don't remember the colors) but you have to cut the wires and wire in the 451m and run constant power to the purple wires of the 451. I will see if I can write you up a diagram and pm it to you. The reason they probably didnt add that function is because I don't think that system came with the required parts for the install, but they should have asked if you wanted it hooked up.

Yeah, it was a christmas present from my brother and he was like.. schedule and appointment with them and they'll install it. Dropped it off.. signed my name.. and that was that. Quite honestly, I don't know the exact model of the system that's installed. I'll look into which model I have. And thanks for the help.

no a problem, I haven't had a chance to get the color codes for your car but I will try and get that diagram posted for ya.
