  • Power Locks don't work

Hey yall, my power locks stopped workin a while ago and now that my car's on blocks for the winter i'd like to try to fix that. They didn't just not work one day, for a few days prior to them not working they seemed to lack power, meaning they would push the lock about half way out and i would have to do it a couple times or just unlock it with my hand. Well a few days later it stopped working at all (maybe this will be helpful when it comes to troubleshooting) anyhow, where is a good place to start for fixin the prob? fuses? wiring? should i take the thing apart? i'm just lookin for a place to start and a couple ideas of where to go from there. Thanx

    ALWAYS check your fuses first.

Inside the car, on the drivers side there is a fuse panel, remove cover and check for blown fuses.

    PWR ACCY 15amp

    COURTESY 20 amp

Okay next easy thing to check, pop the switch panels off your door and make sure the plug / harness is on correctly.

If you have a multimeter check for voltage and ground...

so check to make sure no wires are detached or broken ect ?

and do i have to pry both of them off? basically if one doesnt work does that mean they both dont work?

          any ideas?
