Ok, so I know I can't be the only one who hates that damned panic button on the stock key fob. It always seems to get hit at the worst possible time. Is there anyway to disable just that one button?

Sure, open up your remote, and on the the circuit board, use something sharp to cut off the lead to the button.

hm...now that I open it up, you think cutting off that little rubber piece on the back of the button itself would do the trick? I guess I'd prefer not to screw with the circuit board.

yeah, that should do it. You should still be able to use the button if you push it really hard, but it should at least counter your problem.

Haha I know what you mean about the worst possible time!!!! I hate that little button but I rufuse to mess with the circuitry lol

Pull and Homer Simpson and place a small piece of electrical tape on the connector.

No cutting, or scraping...:tup:

It's a button on the circuit board. The rubber part your finger makes contact with doesn't have any kind of conductor on the bottom. With electrical tape, you would still be able to push it. Easier actually because there would be less travel.
