Hey guys, havent been on in a while. my cousin just gave me his old camaro keyless entry remote because mine doesnt seem to be working anymore. is there any way to program it to my car (97 firebird)?
take out the radio fuse in the fuse panel on the side of the dash, close the door, put the key in the ignition, turn the key to "ON" and then to "OFF" and repeat. the doors will lock and unlock to signify the car is in programming mode. Hold down the lock and unlock buttons for up to 30 seconds. The car will again lock and unlock to tell you the remote is programmed. Replace the fuse.

The hatch also opens too while the locks toggle, so be sure to close that afterwards. Far as I know, any of the stock key fobs for the f-bodies should be interchangeable and model years shouldn't matter.
