    Re: HID teaser pics!

I have Hella FF75 High and Low beam lights. How would I go about putting a HID kit on these? Can I even do this, or do I have to get totally different housings?

      Re: HID teaser pics!

Which FF75s do you have for high/low? Fog or driving?

I wouldn't recommend putting an HID kit in those unless you have the fog patterns because the driving light has no cutoff. The fog has a decent cutoff for a free form, so you wouldn't be blinding everyone else.

Either way, if you go with HID, all you'll need is an HID conversion kit for H7 bulbs. These kits can be found all over eBay and plenty of other sites. These kits are literally plug and play. It's slightly more complicated than replacing a headlight bulb.

I'm really thinking about doing this to my car too even tho I already have the stock projector fog lights, I'm still thinking about putting these behind the grill, any advise for the install?

          Re: HID teaser pics!

Not sure what it looks like behind the grill of late 4th gens, but my install required a good bit of cutting to allow the lights to sit back where they are. I went through a 3" cutoff disc on a die grinder and 4 blades on a saw before I could fit the lights in.

Nothing was really all that difficult, mostly just time consuming, but certainly worth it IMO.

After driving at night without the rain and dry pavement, the light output is even better than the pictures and I'm really impressed and satisfied with them

found a pic of a 4th gen with a similar install, I'd like it if all the lights were HID's of course, what do you think?

                    Re: HID teaser pics!

Looks pretty good I think. But technically your not supposed to have more than 4 lights on at a time. So with the double fogs, you wouldn't be legal, but I'm not sure if anyone enforces that.

If you have some fabricating skills, then the install really isn't too bad. Just make the hole where they go plenty bigger than the light itself so you can aim them.
