Ok, so my key fob officially does nothing now (yes I've replaced the battery with a couple different new ones, it's not that) and on top of that whenever I unlock the driver's side door I have about 20 seconds to turn the ignition to on before the alarm goes off. If I try to unlock the trunk or passenger door before the driver door, the alarm goes off instantly. Any ideas on what the problem could be or any ways to fix it?

Re: Security system issues
The 20 second thing (I think it's actually 8) is the security system. Same with the passenger and trunk observations.
First off, try resynchronizing your remote. Get close to the car and hold the lock and unlock buttons on the remote for 8 seconds. The car should lock and unlock to verify.
If that doesn't work, try reprogramming your remote. Take the radio fuse out of the fuse box (upper left 15A), close the doors, turn the key to the "on" position, then off, and then back on. The doors will lock and unlock, verifying programming mode. Then hold down the lock and unlock buttons until the doors lock and unlock again.
Last up, get a new remote.
