Well, tonight i tried to start installing my manual fan switch, with the led's I added.
Well, I got to a point where everything is installed, turn switch, LED's light up....but no fans.
The way I wired my LEDs is that i ran 2 3-amp diodes (running a constant power to LEDS) in the Red and White wires on the wires before the pigtail. At the pigtail (thing with Switch on it) i wired 2 LEDs, black (ground) wire to White on pigtail, another black to the Red wire on the pigtail. The LED's have built in resistors. Ran constant power to Red wire on LED's.
So I flip the switch, LED's turn on, Great!
Go out to hear fans, and hear nothing.
No fans for HI or LOW
Trying to trouble shoot here, would it be better to switch to switched power instead of Constant? and get rid of the Diodes?
Help Please!
TIA!
edit:
Just talked to my dad about it, and recommened I just switch the Diodes around, seeing as they are a one way "valve" for electricty. But would the LED's work if the Diodes were wrong?
