I can't even begin to fathom how to do this. I talked to a local automotive electronics shop and they said the only setup they knew of was pretty pointless as you had to park the car, turn it off, "remote start it", then get out and turn it off.....and then the next time it will be fine to "remote start". Sounds pointless and I don't get how it will still not cause the car to start driving on its own if in gear. I had a friend say I would have to leave the car in neutral, but I like the security of leaving it in gear as I don't trust my e-brake to hold the car. There has to be a way to bypass the clutch untill I take it over right? What are your thoughts? Thanks

Re: Remote start on a....manual?
#1. fix your e-brake.
#2. Compustar remote start:
- do not turn off your engine
- park your car
- pull ebrake
- remove your keys(car will continue to run)
- dont step on the foot brake
- open the door and get out
- close the door (Security system will turn your engine off and lock your doors at this point)
Done. This way car will be in neutral (unless you jumped out of running vehicle). So you can remote start it without worries that it is in the gear.

Re: Remote start on a....manual?
I'm using Autostart, it can be used on manual or auto. The only thing you change is hooking up a wire to the E brake.2000 Firebird A4, 3.42 LSD, K&N, Free Cold Air, PaceSetter, 3" in/out Catco, 3" S-Pipe, 3" Intermidiate Pipe, 2.5" Flowmaster 80
