      Re: Omega Car alarm

Before you go through all kinds of trouble, are you sure this thing even works? You say you just found it under your dash? And you have the keyfobs to operate this thing?

Door + and - are what you hook up to the door pins. This is the little plastic pin in the door jam that tells the car when the door(s) are open or closed. Pin usually turns on your dome lights. Anyway, we have a wiring diagram for the f-body on this board somewhere.... maybe in the modifications encyclopedia or in one of the stickies at the top of this forum or the sound systems forum. Look to see where/what color our door pin wires are. Also if they are + or - pulse. If they are +, use the door + wire. If they are negative, use the door -. As for the hatch release, you can probably tap right into the hatch release button in the glove box. (Or dash hush panel or where ever the hell yours is) My eyes are getting old, but I don't see anything on there about a hood pin. A hood pin is usually only used for remote start systems. There ARE security features you can set so the alarm will sound if the hood is opened, but they are usually labeled as "instant trigger" or something similar. (Not specifically hood or anywhere else)

That's probably one of the simplest diagrams I've ever seen. Dead serious. They usually just come with a list of colors and one word descriptions. The install shouldn't be THAT bad. Just look at the diagram one wire at a time.
