        I'm sorry but BWAHAHAHAHA

That sucks a bunch... after installing my cd player in my 1st car, every right turn would cut the speakers off and back on.

I would follow from the fuse back if possible. I'm not big on the electricals. Good luck and let us know.

Go over the railroad tracks backward, and see if that fixes it... I'm not really that great figuring out this type stuff, but after looking at my Hayne's schematics, it looks like the BCM (Body Control Module) may be FUBAR. That or one of your door switches or trunk switch is failed.

That is a interesting one.. I get that problem every now and then when I floor it my interior lights all come on for a second. Have you checked the switch? Be a easy thing to check pull it out check continuity. Other switch that could do it is the one in the doors.

It would be funny if your idea worked.

If the dimmer switch will not turn them off then you might need a new dimmer switch. You can get the entire headlight switch from any junk yard or ebay. Very easy to install.

If not check your two door switches.

The rear hatch switch only turns on the dome light, not the map lights, so that is not the problem.

That's funny, cause my trunk hatch switch turns on the map lights also...

If all else fails and you really think it's a short to chassis, do continuity checks to chassis. Start at the end and work your way back. Cut the wire if need be, check it, and solder it back up. It shouldn't be that hard or take that long if you have troubleshooting experience and know the car well.

Check to see if a wire came off the door jamb switches.
