Re: antenna problem
you can try to give it a little help. Turn the headunit on and when the antenna motor is trying to push the mast up.... try to grab a hold of it and help it up. It might be stuck a little or something.
But likely it's just toast. Any universal power antenna should fit fine. I bought mine from RKSport back in the day. $100 I think. Surely you can find them for much less. Buy one that has a replaceable mast. In case it ever gets bent, you just unscrew and replace. Vice buying a whole new motor too.

The antenna is on a long plastic strip that winds up and down. It's got teeth on it so that it's like one long gear. They get stripped very easily, and that's what happened. Kind of like the how the headlight motor gears get stripped. I didn't feel like forking over any more cash for it since it will likely happen again. So I just took the whole antenna mast out of the motor assembly. Now I just have the mount on the outer body where the mast used to go though. Capped that off with some aluminum that I cut up and spray painted black. You can't even tell it's missing now. Best part is that i still get all the local radio stations clear as day.1995 Pontiac Firebird || 3.4L V6

I saw some on amazon for 25 dollars but they have no reviews. Looks up the Legacy antenna... I don't know what brand mine is, but any should be pretty good. $50 is still better then $100
