okay i have had my optima battery since feb. 06 now i am having trouble with it... guess what it has a 3 year warranty but i can't get a replacement they will give me 66$ tward a new one that leave me with 95ish to pay what bs man i think that if you have to pay that much for a battery it should atleast come with a good warranty! sorry i just felt like venting..

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Even my crappy Autozone battery have a 5 year.

I've had no problems with red top Optima's even in the AZ heat 8 years. I will not use another battery besides Optima.08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake

Red or Yellow Top?
The yellow top has 12-months free replacement and the following 12-months are prorated.
The red top has 36 month free replacement and the following 36-months are prorated.
Every battery is sold in this manner. Why you're having problems, I don't know. But don't be pissed at the warranty. It's posted when you buy it. If you're not happy with it, look elsewhere for your battery needs.Comment

I have a DieHard which has worked fine for me but wouldn't oppose trying an Optima. If I was in this situation, I would be pissed at the place I bought it from for not wanting to honor the warranty and never shop there again.Comment

Uh it sounds as if THEY DID honor the warranty. They cut him a pro-rated credit for $66. What the exact warranty was in Feb 06, I don't know. But as of today, the warranties are as posted above.Originally posted by jnxV6 View PostComment

Try charging it on a 50 amp, for about 1/2 hour & then a 2 amp for 3 days. I had an old one that came back to life.<a href=\"http://www.cardomain.com/id/sac2165\" target=\"_blank\"> CAMAROS</a>Comment
