Ok so I was cleaning the engine bay on wednesday and I disconnected the battery for the first time. and I also noticed that the rubber around the top of the wire for the positive cable was a little gummy but I didn't think anything of it. The car ran fine after that but yesterday I went to go out and started the car. I turned the key over once and all the lights went on as normal then when I turned it over the second time nothing happened so I open the hood and looked at the battery and there is a little chunk missing out of the red part of the positive cable. So I just jiggle the wire around then try to start it and it starts fine. so this morning I try to start is and the same thing happens but the headlights go on but stay down and I cant shut them off so I mess around again and turn it on then the headlights pop up and I cant shut them off so I need to know if it's just the battery cable or some other wires for the headlights to?

run on sentences ftw. sounds like the battery cable needs to be replaced. possibly some bad grounds too. replace the battery cable and see if the problem persists.foggy headlights? wetsand... buff... WAX!!!

yea I knew that the battery cable needs to be replaced. would a cable from a 3.8, lt1 or a ls1 work? I have a 3.4Comment
