My 1998 3.8 camaro won't start. The alarm went off after I opened the driver door with a spare key, and when I found the original keys and disabled the alarm with the Keyless remote, the security light came on and has been on for the past day. It finally gave out and the car won't start. I tried to disconnect and reconnect the battery after a few minutes, but that didn't work either. Any ideas?

Re: Security Light
Try leaving the battery unhooked for like 30 minutes, Ive heard it takes awhile for it to reset.
Also, try using a pencil eraser on the resistor chip built into your key, to clean it.
Whats it doing, cranking over but won't start, or just wont crank at all?*Matt

Re: Security Light
Unhook the battery and give it a few. That should reset it, otherwise, you're looking at a call to the dealer to retrieve your lockout codeY87 Package
