1) after doing my transmission conversion, my cigarette lighter doesn't work anymore, im guessing it was somehow hooked to the automatic's wiring harness thing. anyways can you just splice it into another accessory? like the fog light switch? or even the SGS switch? (since its obsolete now)
2) the cigarette lighter is what you plug your phone into to charge right? it sounds kind of stupid to call it that when you charge your phone with, was wondering if there was another name for it

Yeah, I charge my phone through the cigarette lighter 12V outlet. I don't have one of the nifty newer style consoles yet
Funny though, when I did my conversion, It wasn't attached to the auto shift selector at all. I'm pretty sure that your's shouldn't be either. It should be routed into your accessory lines I think.
My 93 only has one outlet. I guess they added a second one in the later years?
Yeah, the 97 - 02 Center consoles featured a cig lighter, an aux. 12V outlet, a revised upper console lid that open to the side and DOESNT break, and the thing even boasts a whopping 4 cup holders.

Yes, You'll need to splice the additional 12V outlet into the wires for the old cigarette lighter, but thats only two wires IIRC, maybe three. you'll need the lower console, the upper console, and the console lid.
I'm actually getting ready to swap mine out because I think the newer consoles sport a "cleaner" look, and I hate the T5 upper console I have now.
