  • Power Windows in Heat

I had converted my standard crank windows and regular locks over to power and keyless entry beginning of last fall. All went great. Now that it is summer time I would love to get in my car and put my windows down.

But the problem is when the car has been sitting in the sun for a long time and is very hot, the windows won't work. (driver side or passenger side, from any of the switches). But the power locks DO work. So I blast the A/C for a while then after about 15 minutes (ish) the windows start working again.

If it is not very hot out, the windows work fine right from the start. Any ideas ?

The power window motors in these cars are known to be crappy.
