  • buying new tail lights

i'm currently talking with a guy about buying a set of tail lights that are in nearly mint condition from a 94 z28 that was in a front end collision. he said he is currently listening to offers, how much is a fair offer?

I'd say $50 would be a good start. Really depends on what the seller is expecting out of them, whether he'll tell you or not. They can near $100 for the set on eBay, and other places may let them go for $40.

If you are going to replace them, get the euro-style, they look better on the car.

      ($118 for both)

Those are the ones I got, D.O.T. 50 state, and they bolt right in, no wiring required. Just slip the oem bulb holders in, screw in 2 wingnuts and drive.

Pics now! I'm very very very skeptical that euro tail lights can look good. Prove me wrong.

I saw some on a camaro around town.. They were huge and chromey and just looked cheap. My gf loves the taillights he showed up there ^ but I'm just like.. ehhh... I'm thinking I'll end up doing the nightshade thing.

My car came with chrome Euros. Chrome tails+red car=BLEH! I immediately wanted to swap them out, but couldn't afford another set, so I just nightshaded them. I eventually got a set of 93-96 stockers, but I now want my tinted Altezzas back, because the looked pretty damn good shaded :)

I don't like the chrome looking type aftermarket ones but the black and carbon fiber ones I like. I have the carbon fiber ones. Personal taste.

Got a pic? The black ones do look much better, but I'm still not sure I'd like them.

They are for my LED tail light project--take two. I just haven't gotten around to it yet. After seeing this thread, I decided to pop one on and see how bad it looks.

I have already seen your cardomain. The day-light do not let see well the tail lights. If that's the way it looks, I would say it looks opaque and gloomy. The chrome ones look cheap. The stock ones look better. Also check that those euros turn whitish soon and look ugly.
