Disabled DRL's and Auto Headlights

I read up on this mod becuase i can not stand having no control over my headlightsafter dark. I use to use the old one click up on the ebrake trick, but get tired of the ebrake light being on. On the auto headlights im simply unpluged the sensor and used a paper clip to jumper the wires. I then wrapped it well in electrical tape. for the drls i simply unplugged the c1 harness (i believe it is this one. its the one that has the all blue plug). On the write up it said doing this would cause your ebrake light not to work, and since mine is an m5 would cause my trunk release button to work. The odd thing is that my truck release still works fine. Another thing is in the write up it says that their is plenty of slack to pull the black box out that the two drl harness plug into, however mine had literly none. I had to fish my hand up by the cup holder and the other one in though the cd player whole to be able to unclip it. I just wanted to point out the couple of inconsistancies i found in the write up for these mods.
