how do u turn the bright lights on..on a 98 firebird?

my switch went bad so i went to a junkyard and looked for a new one..and i'm thinking my bright light switch is an aftermarket switch. how does do normally turn on? the same round button that turns the headlights on?

You pull the turn signal level towards you. There is a rod that extends down the steering column to a switch under the dash.

as far as fog lights, there should be a switch by the headlight button.. but I own a maro.. not a bird.

the fog lights will not come on when your brights are on
if that helps you out at all.

Preliminary... you have to prove that you have working lights (low & bright), turn signals, seat belts, etc. before the instructor even gets in the car.

Preliminary... you have to prove that you have working lights (low & bright), turn signals, seat belts, etc. before the instructor even gets in the car.

the instructor got in the car first, has me turn the car on, do the windshield wipers, lights, and high beams

Probably different state to state, but I didn't have to show the instructor anything. I don't believe I even went out into the open road. Just drove around their little coned off course, if I'm remembering right...... been like 12 years though :(
