anyways, arent high beams the same in every single car?

i thought they were.. or at least in newer cars, my other camaro the high beam switch is on the floorboard next to the brake

most american vehicles operate by pulling the stick toward you there by clicking a switch and then off by same action. where as most foriegn(mostly jap) cars operate brights by pushing the switch away, where it stays until you pull it back towards you, and pulling it toward you from low beam position flashes brights. I don't understand the reason for the difference, but every Big 3 i've been in works by switch, and every nissan/mitsu/toyota i've ever owned worked the other way.
