ok guys here is my problem, i bought two new motors for my car, changed them out, went to test them out and i'm getting power to the motor but its doing nothing, i even tried hooking both motors and still nothing, is there something that i am missing? is it possible that i got two defective motors? One motor was brand new and one was rebuilt. I'm completely stumped and dont know whats going on. Please Help!

I had the same problem. I put in a brand new motor and it worked fine for about a weeka and then just quit for some reason. I just pulled it again and just screwed with it for a little bit and plugged back in, and it worked and has since then.

screwed with it how? were you trying to turn the gear by hand while hitting the switch?

Remove the plug from the window motor and test for power. If you have power, remove the motor and see if the gear will turn. If it does not turn then you have a defective motor. If it does turn then reinstall it and see if the window operates normally. If it does not then you could have an issue in the regulator.

To me it sounds like an electrical issue, so start by testing for power.

now when i take it off i can turn the gear on the motor a few degrees each way, maybe 5--10 degrees.
