    Re: 96 Camaro Lights

Closest to stock looking headlights is the FF75s that I have. The problem with the stock lights is that you can't get much better optics due to the optics being on the lens rather than in the housing. If you pay attention, you'll notice just about all cars went from optics on the lens to optics in the housing (clear lens) if you note cars from early 90s into the mid 2000s, every car I can think of changed to the clear lens optics inside because of the benefits of it. The Hellas have the optics inside, and therefore have better optics than the stock lights could ever have.

It was 120 for the one set I bought. I'm only running HIDs in my projectors, in my FF75 headlights, I'm running silverstar ultras in the highs, and some POS bulbs in the lows, like the ones you posted. Just haven't had a chance to swap them out.

how much did you pay for your ultras? also they will go right in the stock housing one right? just have to take the sealed one out?

Which series they have 9005,9006,9007. I mean is there anyone better than the other?

I believe they were 50 bucks. You'll have to do the sealed beam conversion, meaning you'll have to break out your old bulb and silicon the new one in. They have 9005 and 9006. The 9005 I believe is the brights, so they have 10 more watts and no coating on the tip. You can modify the stock wiring to accept a 9005 in the 9006 spot, but it's not direct swap.

so for the regular running lights i need the 9006? and for brights i need the 9005 right?

also would i get more lighting out of the 9005 or would it be to blinding for the opposing drivers?

                      Re: 96 Camaro Lights

yeah, 9006 is the low beams, and 9005 is the high beams. You could probably use the 9005s in the low beams and not blind other drivers because of how inefficient the housings are. but like I said, you would need to modify the wiring harness and/or bulb base slightly to get it to work right. IIRC you actually break the the little tab in the bulb base that disallows it from usually fitting into the low beam spot. The coating on the tip is supposed to prevent it from blinding other drivers, but in the stock housings, i'm not so sure it makes that much of a difference.

Your local autozone might not have them, but I do believe they make 894 silverstars.
