so i was driving home tonight and i hit a pot hole and my gauge lights went out and my fog lights, everytihng else still works, turn signals headlights radio and the lights that come on when you open the door.
i checked the fuse to the gauge lights and its not that.
im guessing i knocked a ground loose but i have no idea where it is
can someone tell me?
so everything works just not the lights behind the gauges, and also the fog lights, or the fog light switch?
i looked at some schematics, and it doesnt look like the dash lights and the fog lights are related in any way.. i will try and look into it a bit more though
your foglights are grounded to different places, so i dont think it is a ground
if you want to check them, the right fog light is grounded at the top right of the rad, and the left fog light is grounded at the lower left radiator support
the instrument cluster is grounded at the right front of the engine
edit* ok, there is a black wire in the left kick panel and both the instrument cluster and the foglight switch go to it, it may have become disconnected or is loose, i wasnt thinking when i read your post but your fog lights arent working because something happened with the switch
cam98ro where is this black wire your talking about?
do you have an Haynes manual or something that your getting this info from?
they have wiring diagrams in the haynes manual.. and its worth the $15 or however much they cost, but i dont really remember where i got those from, i think it was from another source
