    When I turn the dimmer wheel in my 97 camaro the lights wont dim :mad: and i have checked all the fuses!!!

    But they still light up like usual? Chances are the dimmer switch is dying on you.

      oh yea they light up just fine and I have a 1996 I use for parts and just plugged in the switch from the 96 and it still wouldn't work but it worked on the 96' and I noticed it didnt work after installed new deck if that helps

        That should tell you something is wrong with how you have the deck wired.

          i agree

          IIRC there is a dimmer wire back there to dim the lights on the radio.. im betting something happened with it, or it is disconnected and not letting the lights dim anymore

            well the harness for the radio which I thought was strange didnt include a prong to dim my radio automatically, and cam98aro where is this IIRC dimmer where is it so i can check to see if its been disconnected

                  Do you have LEDs in your cluster? LEDs won't dim....

                            ok so i know its been a year but i have finally fixed the problem lol im slow plus it wasnt a huge concern but incase other ppl are having this problem it was the brown wire/ dimmer wire going to the radio harness well if your radio is an LCD screen or if your radio has a dimmer option in the settings menu it will not dim with the lights so make sure u yank that brown wire out of the harness and everything will work just fine kinda strange lol
