The park/turn lamps on my 99 Firebird look like this. They look like they aren't keeping out water. I wanted to ask; if I replace them with a new pair from GM, will they just end up looking like my current pair soon? If so, is there a better solution?

Essentially, I'm asking if I should replace my lamps or if this is a common Firebird issue and needs a different solution?

    Thanks

I think it's just the difference between glass and plastic. It's a ten year old car now, so the plastic is starting to fog over. You could take them out and wet sand them and then polish them up, but new ones would look better. They might make glass ones, which would certainly last longer.

The front parking light fiuxtures get all gnarly-looking inside, so just polishing the cover does not help. I'm going to be buying a third set soon. I replaced my originals several years back and now the replacements are getting old looking. I guess five years or about 85,000 miles is their expected life.
I solemnly swear I am up to no good.
