Ok I'm swapping in a lq4 into my bird and don't want the tach to be off. Will a 99 ta cluster bolt right in no problems since it's for a v8 or will it not mount up properly and work?? Need a answer soon

    Thanks Travis.

I did a couple searches for you at CZ28.com and the 99 will not work unless you re-wire the car.

You will have to use a 97 and even then its not a direct plug in.

Well s.o.b all I really need is my tach to read correctly could I use my cluster and a Dakota digital box and set it to read the ls1 tach pulses?

Why not use an aftermarket tach?

I'd just prefer not having a useless tach in my dash. Unless there's a way to replace it with the aftermarket one.

Wire in an autometer tach adapter. For a V6 you just cut one of the wire loops on the adapter. Then splice the signal wire from the adapter into the back of the ICM. If I remember correctly you use the pink wire from the ICM. Then just hook up the signal wire from the adapter to the tach.

Ok I can try that. I'd need it on 4cyl setting for the ls because of how it sends the signal correct.
