  • Flashing dash

So the other day my dash started freaking out and kept coming off and back on. Everything would turn off except the voltage meter. When I would hit a small bump, stop quickly, or accelerate quickly, it would shut off and flicker on and off. Also, when I turn the car off and put it into Run and NOT Start, it would start. The car runs just like normal. I checked the battery terminals and all the grounds that I could see in the engine bay and they were all tight. It seems like something is loose but I looked under the dash and everything was tight.

Where could the problem be? I didn't look at the VATS wires or anything and i wiped that chip off on the key but still the same result. Also, it only did it for a few hours because the next morning, I drove it to school and it didn't do it again.

    Thanks for the suggestions

Make sure your positive cables are not grounding out to the chassis.
