I have a TUB. K on my V6 with TuB. upper/lower A arms so if I went with a LS1 I would def. get a Tub. K to match everything, plus I like the extra room it gives and weight savings.

A Few Mods....
It's so hard to choose one and stick with it. One day I want to set up an LS1 383 with a heads/cam package and have one wild car, but its like everyone does that and it won't be unique, other than to me since I went through all the work. But then the other half of me wants to set up a perfected turbo or s/c system fully blown V6 with P&P Heads, Intake Manifold, and build it up to 400RWHP all for the sole purpose of using a Boost Guage lol - sounds dumb I know but I guess I want a showcar that can be fast, fun, and economical.
I know what you mean , I spent around $4000 for my turbo setup and other goodies, and also added a 02' LS1 Lic. to my Hptuners just in case something goes wrong I can always do a LS1 swap with a mild cam, LS6 intake, headers and tune it should put out close to 400 wrhp. But with my turbo setup with 10-12 PSI I should be able to put out close to 400 wrhp.

I just thought of something. Where can I put an intercooler on a 02 Firebird? We don't have grilles like Camaro's and I don't wanna lose the bird logo on the front.
The turbo setup, can I see pics of it? I heard you were routing your exhaust pipes under your tubular crossmember? (where do you even get one for these cars?) So does that mean its a rear facing exhaust manifold that performs a U under the crossmember and comes back to the front to the Turbo and then goes back to the rear?
Oh, I also was told I could have an LT1 procharger modified to bolt onto our cars, is this true? If so then would it be better than a powerdyne and would I be able to make 400 rwhp?
pa raing is the only company that currently sells them (although, there use to be a company called g2 that sold them). UMI only sells them for ls1s, but I have heard only good things about PA Racing's tub k

I purchased a PA for my Camaro.. and the steering rack conversion/coil over conversion.
Very happy.

Just checkin. It's not going anywhere.

For my PA Tub. K I bought the 1/2" billet spacers from BMR which I plan to put in, I think it will give it more metal & make it stonger. Powerdyne unless using nitrous your not going to get close to 400 wrhp I got around 300 wrhp and 330 tq, and thats with the belt snapping every 2 weeks or maybe be good and snap or come off the gear once a month.

i'm toying with buying radracer's nitrous kit atm. Figure an extra $150 in parts after I buy it, and it should be safe enough to spray

Yeah, I think supercharging is out of the question, it's either too expensive for the same results or doesn't net enough power in a reliable fashion. I heard prochargers could work but I would need a way to fab a kit for the motor. Are prochargers any better than powerdynes?
With Turbo'ing, if a Tubular K-Member was attained, could I use rear facing exhaust manifolds, loop them under the K-Member and to the front of the motor where the turbo will be installed or is that not efficient?
Also what steps could I take with my overall turbo/engine/trans/rear axel setup to optimise my performance AND fuel milage. I have to score atleast 3 MPG better than mildly modded LS1's
If I wanted to make 400RWHP, which turbo would you recommend? and what if I ran a twin small turbo setup at 8 PSI, or maybe a small Turbo at 6 PSI and larger Turbo at 12 PSI?
Also where can I mount the intercooler in the firebird?
About a week ago noticed my brake lights not working also Hazards not working. Installed new brake switch and still not working, checked fuses and what...
