So as title states , are electric boost controllers worth it? I'm going to go with a Greddy or AEM , probably AEM since the gauge will fit my currrent boost gauge and I like the overboost protection and how you can hit a button and it will show last highest boost, plus the bright colors is what got me.LOL I'm going to call my wholesaler to see how much he can get one for. So I will probably sell my Turbosmart manual boost gauge once I get this one. Any others with Electronic boost controllers , whats your opinion ? Please no yes or no answers give some input. LOL Thanks Steve

Re: Thinking about going to a Electroic Boost controller
i know they make a boost gauge that shows the highest peak boost thats not a boost controller, my friend has one in his evo, i was going to get one also, but i talked to a guy at Austin Performance here in town and he said people were having bad luck with all of the boost gauges like that so he doesnt even carry them anymore

Re: Thinking about going to a Electroic Boost controller
I've got a greddy profec b and it seems to be alright. The main reason
I like it is because of the low boost/high boost settings. It also has a
warning light/sound if it overboosts.
The only reason I'm running it is because it was given to me...lol. I was
perfectly happy with the manual boost controller.

Re: Thinking about going to a Electroic Boost controller
you could do it in a number of ways. the tru-boost has two adjustable boost settings. a high and low so to say that you can set but still adjust.. so you could have four actual levels to choose from. low boost, high boost, scramble, and off..which defaults to wastegate pressure.

Re: Thinking about going to a Electroic Boost controller
Yes, I just like the over boost protection feature and has a nice digital dispaly, I emailed the seller of one thats $269 shipped and he said they come with both silver and black trim panels, so I will probably pick it up.08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake
