Heres a couple of pics of the hot side going under the K piping. Hit it with some 2000 degree paint , had to do the angle since I needed it to come over more so the DP will go straight to the exsisting exhaust which will be oval underneath and the wasgate I have a flex pipe that will go around and connect to the DP exhaust. Already have half of it done just need the elbow done after the turbo is on then they can weld it up. Things to do is tap the oil pan for return line(have all other oil /water lines ready for install) and mock up the turbo in the engine bay and make some support bars. Also install the AEM boost controller and methanal injection kit. So I'm getting alittle closer.

Re: Couple of pics under K
I didn't want to do it but it helps the DP go directly to the exhuast. But will see how it goes, has pretty good clearance underneath though.08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake

It looks really good Steve. I hope you don't mind me saying this, but I think you should redo those 90* bends. Air travels better through curves than a sharp turn like that. You'll accumulate heat at those 90* bends. Curves are more efficient.

Sway bar was in the way and I didn't want it close to the engine. I'm going to try it with the 90 bend then if it doesn't work out I can get a oval bend to go in there.08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake

Re: Couple of pics under K
I can just get 1 90 bend and have it cut and then fliped and it would solve the problem, but I will wait to see how this works out first. It still 3" of pipe so there is alot of room to flow, plus with the GT35R it should spool quickly anyway. But the DP will go straight down and out with no bends to the exhaust which I like instead of running it down the passenger side by the headers.Last edited by ssms5411; 12-09-2009, 05:49 PM.08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake

Re: Couple of pics under K
Is there a reason for the zig zag? Those 90's with sharp corners are
going to kill the flow. I wouldn't be worried about spool time as much
as the back pressure. If you can't get the air out, then you definately
can't cram more in.
Why not make it a straight shot? I couldn't tell where the pipe bends
upward, but you get the idea.

Re: Couple of pics under K
Sway bar is in the way, where the sway bar indents is where I had to make the bend. If it doesn't I can do the 90 degree oval bend, since there 3" oval bends, its not a pipe a exhaust shop has on hand. I'm not worried about back pressure I have a 3" DP that will go straight to the exhaust out that is all 3" mandrel bends. I could of ran it straight but would of have to put the DP out down past the headers(which I don't want the added heat) so it will go down straight and I still have my A/C. I might look at your idea and might have them cut it at a angle to connect it , thanks for the pic Caspernicus I think I will have them do it like that.Last edited by ssms5411; 12-10-2009, 12:09 AM.08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake

Re: Couple of pics under K
I tried to measure up a piece of oval and the bend is in the way and the oval tubing is offset. So looks like I need to order a 180 degree and cut it and then reverse it, oh well just another $40. LOL Thanks though, i'm just going to finsh the rear suspension with my QA-1's and add some air bags with them inside the springs. Then have my Fe2 rack /pinion installed and my brakes done then allighnment and install the AEM boost controller and run my methanol injection lines under the car with vac. line so the methanol injection will be finished, so probably next month since I'm not in any rush. I forgot, also install 65LB injectors and once all installed have the DP welded up to exsisting exhaust. And in that time I will be looking at some Mainley valves and maybe some more work on my heads if needed for the 1.7 Pro Mag roller rockers. So I have other things to do before throwing on my turbo, but if I wanted it could go on anyday since the hot side is done.Last edited by ssms5411; 12-11-2009, 12:35 AM.08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake
