Re: I am the FondleMonster- and i has a turbo(build thread)
i realize this, but everytime he posts he brings it up and im tired of hearing it, im not trying to be rude, but you cant tell from pictures, it looks alot worse than it is
but yes baller, its up and running, i just need to make a down pipe and do something with my rear and i can get her driving
I dont think blizzard is trying to be a d!ck, he's just trying to save you some headaches he went through with his. how does the pipe clearance look??
I agree with this, we are all just trying to look out for each other and save each other hassles. The point of the forum is to pass along knowledge so that every one of us does not repeat the same issues over and over. It's all about helping one another. I just take things with a grain of salt and don't get all flusterd...
Though i am curious how big that pipe is that goes from your Y to the turbo? 3 inch? I have my block and trans out of the car and i only have 7 inches of ground clearance to the bottom of the K-member with stock shocks/springs...
Fondle, I don't mean to bring you down cause I know how much fun this build was for me. But I had to redo all of my hot side piping since it was too damn low. And it wasn't even as low as yours. Just for the sake of doing it once, put the tires back on and put the car on the ground to really check how low those pipes are. I'm just telling you from experience that it sucks doing **** twice and I want this to go well for you.
All that I'm saying is that this setup I had here was too low and some of the pipes were flattened out from just the suspension working over imperfections on the road. And you can see how low it is relative to the oil pan. My car is not lowered.
Don't worry, I won't post anymore. No sense in beating a dead horse.
Fastest was a 1 day under K turbo build. He did his hot side and by passed using a intercooler. But why do it quick when you can take your time and make it look nice, clean and functions well..

Re: I am the FondleMonster- and i has a turbo(build thread)
quick work man - wow.
while ur working on that bumper, maybe you could cut out the middle of the grille delete section to feed that intercooler fresh air and get a billet grille or something that will allow air to pass through while it protects everything. something to consider.
Re: I am the FondleMonster- and i has a turbo(build thread)
Is there enough air flow to the radiator would be my concern rather than the intercooler? You can cut the front open for the intercooler and run a grill to protect it and the air dam will still have 4-5" between the air dam and intercooler for air flow to come up. Also make sure you run the cover on top of the radiator & condensor so the car will cool better.
